Oh yes, after having posted nothing in weeks, I come back to gather my thoughts and - without looking carefully at the last post - put down “limits” again for a heading. Limits are what it’s all about here these days.
This morning I took the ritual walk around the neighborhood. We have no shortage of wildlife in South Carolina. Today I caught a cardinal couple grazing on someone’s lawn, a turtle plopping into the pond, and geese taking off honking at my approach. I also caught myself disappointed at not being able to see into someone’s nest high up in a tree. I heard them singing/calling, and I could see the nest high above me, but I couldn’t see into it. I couldn’t even take a picture of it. And I confess that bothered me. As if it’s all about me!
Trying to see it all, say it all, know it all - it’s tiring because that’s not what we’re meant for. I’m grateful for the diversity of creation, the sovereignty of the Creator, and the way we all need Him as well as each other.
