As we drove back into town Saturday night having just emptied our nest— this is what we saw!
We accepted that rainbow, right then, as a gift of promised Presence in our new season.
And it’s a reminder that EVERYONE needs that promise. We are all in a liminal space—an “in between”, a thin space. Every one of us who’s alive and breathing is temporal, limited, and subject to change.
Those of us sending our kids off to school. Those of us saying goodbye to family or friends in other ways. Those of us facing things about ourselves we don’t like and can’t fix on our own.
God places each of us in His light, washes each of us clean, and makes each of us one small shining ray (maybe one infinitesimal wavelength!) of His greater glory.
